An ultra-fine needle is used to precisely deliver small amounts of a purified protein. This protein prevents certain facial muscles from contracting and stops the skin from creasing and is an ideal treatment for dynamic wrinkles, particularly in the upper part of the face, such as crow’s feet and forehead lines.
Treatment takes around 10-15 minutes and effects will show in a couple of days. There is no need for a recovery period following the procedure.
The same wrinkle reducing treatment can be used to treat excessive underarm sweating, Hyperhidrosis. It is extremely successful with the results lasting 3 to 4 months.
Dermal fillers can enhance the skin by smoothing lines and plumping up areas of lost elasticity. They can be used to contour the cheeks and chin, correct acne or chicken pox scars, and fill deep lines. They can also restore a more youthful look to lips that have become thinner and lost definition.
A numbing cream is applied and tiny amounts of the gel-like filler are injected with a very fine needle into the areas requiring treatment. There is no need to take time out to recover and the instant effects last several months.
As with all non-surgical treatments, these effects will gradually wear off so you will need top-ups to maintain smoother, plumper skin. If anti-wrinkle injections are used regularly, however, you will be able to wait longer between top-up appointments.
An example of 1 area is frown lines in centre of forehead or crows feet.
